Green Future of HoReCa – Building Green Skills for the Hospitality Sector

Every successful Erasmus+ project leaves behind more than deliverables—it leaves behind new ideas, stronger partnerships, and opportunities for lasting change.

As we officially conclude the Erasmus+ project “Green Future of HoReCa”, I am proud to reflect on what our international partnership has achieved together.

Working alongside our partner EVACO (Poland), we set out to address an important challenge: how can vocational education better prepare hospitality professionals for a more sustainable future?

Over the past months, we have developed a comprehensive educational package that combines sustainability, innovative teaching methodologies, and practical learning experiences. The project resulted in:

An ESG Trainer Programme for VET teachers and trainers

An ESG Leader Programme for hospitality managers and professionals

Practical workshop scenarios, case studies and interactive learning activities

Digital learning resources supporting experiential education

Pilot workshops, international webinars and dissemination events involving educators and HoReCa professionals from several European countries

One of the project’s greatest achievements has been demonstrating that ESG is not simply about environmental responsibility—it is about developing the competencies needed to make better decisions, manage resources responsibly, lead teams effectively, and create long-term value for businesses and society.

The project concluded with international dissemination activities, including practical workshops in Gmina Parzęczew (Poland) and promotional webinars bringing together participants from North Macedonia and across Europe, ensuring that the developed resources reach educators and professionals who can continue multiplying their impact.

A sincere thank you to our partner EVACO, to every expert, educator, trainer, hospitality professional, and participant who contributed their knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm throughout this journey.

Although the project has officially come to an end, its results will continue to support vocational education and help prepare future hospitality professionals for the challenges of a greener and more sustainable industry.

The end of a project is often the beginning of its real impact.
