Green Future of HoReCa Project Showcased at International Conference in Poland

On 13 June 2026, the Erasmus+ project Green Future of HoReCa reached another important milestone with the successful organization of its International Conference in Gmina Parzęczew, Poland.

The event brought together educators, vocational trainers, hospitality professionals, project partners and stakeholders from different European countries to present the project’s achievements and discuss the growing importance of sustainability in vocational education and the HoReCa sector.

The conference provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the project’s outcomes, including the ESG Trainer Programme, the ESG Leader Programme, practical workshop scenarios, case studies, interactive worksheets and digital learning resources developed to support the integration of ESG principles into hospitality education.

A highlight of the event was a series of practical cooking workshops, where participants explored sustainable culinary practices through hands-on activities. The workshops demonstrated how responsible food preparation, efficient resource management, reduction of food waste and environmentally conscious decision-making can become an integral part of everyday operations in restaurants and hospitality businesses.

Beyond presenting educational materials, the conference created an inspiring platform for international networking, professional dialogue and the exchange of good practices. Participants discussed current challenges facing the hospitality industry and explored innovative approaches to preparing future professionals for the green transition.

The interactive nature of the event reflected one of the project’s core principles—that sustainability is best learned through experience. By combining presentations with practical demonstrations, participants were able to see how ESG concepts can be transformed into concrete actions within vocational education and professional practice.

The International Conference marked the successful culmination of months of collaborative work carried out by the project partners and demonstrated the strong interest in developing green skills across the European HoReCa sector.

The Green Future of HoReCa project is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme and implemented by EVACO (Poland) and FUTURAMA 4P (North Macedonia). Through innovative educational programmes and practical learning resources, the project contributes to preparing educators, trainers and hospitality professionals for a more sustainable and resilient future.
