Main Goal of the Project
The main goal of the project is to enhance the competencies of VET educators and trainers in the HORECA sector by equipping them with knowledge and skills in ESG principles — Environmental, Social, and Governance practices. The project aims to prepare VET professionals and future leaders to implement sustainable management strategies in hotels, restaurants, catering, and tourism businesses.
This aligns with key EU priorities, including:
- Improving the quality of VET education through innovative methodologies.
- Increasing the attractiveness of VET by providing practical, future-oriented tools.
- Promoting green transformation and climate change mitigation in the HORECA sector.
Key Results
The project aims to produce practical educational resources and innovative tools to improve sustainability skills among VET professionals and HORECA employees. The main expected results include:
- Educational Program:
- Development of a comprehensive ESG Educational Program for HORECA (modular and flexible).
- E-learning Resources:
- 2 e-learning courses for VET trainers and ESG leaders.
- Training Program for ESG Leaders:
- Complete training package with supporting materials for those leading sustainable initiatives in HORECA.
- Gamification Tools:
- 2 educational games:
- “ESG in HORECA”
- “ESG Leadership in HORECA”
- 2 educational games:
- Dissemination & Awareness:
- 1 international conference (minimum 50 participants) showcasing sustainable cooking practices.
- 3 online promotional workshops focused on ESG in HORECA.
- 1 promotional video highlighting project results and good practices.
- 8 thematic articles and 4 expert interviews on ESG strategies.
- Collaboration Outputs:
- 2 international partner meetings to share expertise and align methodologies.
These results aim to create long-lasting tools that will remain available and scalable across Europe even after the project’s completion.

- VET educators and trainers (teachers, coaches, experts, and career counselors).
- Students enrolled in vocational education programs related to HORECA.

- ESG leaders within companies — individuals responsible for implementing sustainability practices.
- Educational institutions & training organizations designing VET programs tailored to labor market demands.

- Employers and business owners in the HORECA industry seeking to adopt sustainable practices.
