Teleconference Review: Industry 5.0 and the Jobs of the Future — Insights from Top Experts in Poland and North Macedonia

The rapid rise of Industry 5.0, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation is reshaping the future of work at an unprecedented speed. To better understand these changes — and how they affect young people, educators, and employers — our organisation hosted an international Teleconference: “Industry 5.0 — Jobs of the Future.”
The event brought together over ___ participants (optional) and featured two distinguished experts who illuminated the trends, risks, and opportunities ahead.

Expert Perspective from Poland:

Dr. Piotr Kaczmarek-Kurczak — Industry 4.0/5.0 & Space Technologies Specialist

Dr. Piotr Kaczmarek-Kurczak from Kozminski University in Warsaw opened the teleconference with a forward-looking presentation on the evolution from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0.
He highlighted:

  • how automation, advanced data ecosystems, and AI are transforming traditional professions
  • the growing need for interdisciplinary skills
  • the emergence of new job profiles such as data curators, AI ethicists, simulation architects, and space-technology specialists
  • how future work will require combining digital literacy with creativity and ethical decision-making

His inputs helped participants understand not only where technology is heading, but also how young people today can prepare for professions that do not yet exist — but soon will.

Expert Perspective from North Macedonia:

Iskra Koneska — HR Leader & AI-Driven HR Strategist

Our Macedonian expert, Iskra Koneska, provided an in-depth view of how AI is transforming human resources, talent acquisition, and organisational development.

With extensive experience across multinational and technology-driven companies such as Nextsense, Intertek IO, Prilepska Pivarnica, Lactalis, Damilah, and Magna International, Iskra shared valuable insights about:

  • the most in-demand jobs in today’s IT sector
  • how companies integrate AI into workforce planning and people analytics
  • the skills GEN Z values when choosing studies and career paths
  • the ethical principles organisations must follow while using AI in recruitment
  • how HR leaders can build human-centered digital workplaces

As a certified HR Agile professional, Copilot 365 specialist, lecturer, and mentor at Semos Education, she emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adopting AI responsibly in HR practice.

Emerging Professions: Terraforming, Space Careers & Deepfake Verification

The teleconference also explored several emerging professions that illustrate how rapidly the job market is evolving, including the futuristic role of the Terraforming Engineer — a scientist responsible for designing life-supporting ecosystems on planets like Mars, and the potential of the Moon, combining bioengineering and technology. Our experts highlighted that the space industry is no longer science fiction but a fast-growing employment sector offering opportunities in satellite technology, planetary research, space robotics,

data analysis, and environmental monitoring from orbit. Equally important is the rise of professions ensuring digital safety, such as the Deep Fake Verifier, a specialist who detects AI-generated videos, images, and audio that can manipulate public opinion or spread misinformation. As deepfake technologies become more sophisticated, the need for experts who can authenticate digital content and protect institutions is rapidly increasing — making this one of the most crucial new roles in the AI era.

What GEN Z Wants — A Crucial Part of the Discussion

Both experts highlighted a key trend:
GEN Z expects careers that are meaningful, flexible, technologically advanced, and aligned with personal values.

Their preferences include:

  • project-based work
  • opportunities for growth and experimentation
  • purpose-driven companies
  • digital-first environments
  • mentors who support autonomy and creativity

Understanding these expectations is essential for educators, parents, and employers who aim to prepare and guide future professionals.

Ethics, AI, and the Human Factor

An essential theme of the teleconference was ethical and responsible use of AI — especially in recruitment and talent management.
Participants explored questions such as:

  • How can we ensure fairness and transparency in AI-assisted hiring?
  • How much decision power should AI have?
  • How do companies balance efficiency with human judgment?

The conclusion was clear:
AI can be powerful, but it must remain a tool — not a substitute for human intelligence, empathy, and ethical understanding.

Key Conclusions

  1. Technology is accelerating – but humans remain irreplaceable.
  2. Industry 5.0 will blend digital innovation with human creativity, ethics, and emotional intelligence.
  3. Future professionals must combine technical skills with soft skills — communication, critical thinking, adaptability, and leadership.
  4. AI should serve as our partner — our supportive “Santa’s little helper,” not a threat.
  5. Preparing GEN Z for the future means teaching them how to work with technology, not fear it.

Final Thoughts

The teleconference offered a powerful reminder:
The future of work belongs to those who can collaborate with technology while strengthening their uniquely human qualities.
